What does unaccompained youth mean?
Unaccompanied youth don’t have a permanent home and live in shelters, on the streets, in cars or vacant buildings, or are couch surfing or in other unstable circumstances.
As noted in the strategic framework of the 2019 Mental Health Scan, early intervention is an important key to prevent chronic issues linked to youth homelessness.
